CarpeDM Dating

Overview:

CarpeDM Dating is a Washington DC-based exclusive members only dating community created for singles seeking meaningful relationships with professional Black women.

During the early stages of design and development I was brought by Talooka Studio design agency to help with the design and frontend development of the member portal. The member portal an individual application specifically for updating member and subscription information. The portal consisted of specific a series of phases before a user could access their profile. Following the registration process, users proceed to create a member profile.

Phases:

Becoming a member after registration consists of several steps and verifications. The steps were sectioned in to phases using different pages to show users where they were in the process.

Deposit Payment - The first step after registration is to sign into the member portal and pay the deposit. The deposit payment, being a separate transaction from the subscription payment is stored and used to trigger the verification process.

Verification Process - To become a member, their is a series of verifications including a background check which is done in order keep the dating ecosystem as secure as possible. There are several status checks which are tracked by the member portal. A status page is shown to keep users updated on their progress.

Subscription Payment Page - Once a user has passed the verification checks they can officially pay as a member. The subscription options are based on the user types.

Member Portal - Once the subscription payment is successful, members can access their profile. They can update their profile picture, profile information, subscription payment options, and access reward program discounts and coupons.
