Nathan Keeys is an interactive developer, music artist, producer and educator. He has worked in both advertising and civic tech spaces designing and building digital experiences. As a technologist passionate in art, music, design and technology, Nathan has been a hybrid in his field of software development focusing on UI/UX design, frontend development, human-centered design, and creative development.
Under Digital Anthro Studio, Nathan has consulted with various creative agencies, small businesses and consultancies on architecting and improving user interfaces and experiences. Under his studio he also helps educate developers and designers through coding and design workshops. Over the past year, Nathan has been invited to speak about Three.js (a web-based 3D graphics library) and creative development for Women in Software Engineering JP (previously Women Who Code) in Tokyo and The Collab Lab.
Under the alias 80% Cacao, Nathan has produced and written music for indie artists for almost 20 years, 80% Cacao is a electronic, and soulful acoustic project which came to life after Nathan shifted his music style to promote a more uplifting and serene aesthetic for listeners. His work has been featured in various blogs such as Obscure Sound, StereoFox, and ADSR Collective. His sound derives from downtempo electronic, ambient and soul roots.
